Armidale Regional Council Fee Rebate and In-Kind Contribution Request July- September

Armidale Regional Council is committed to strengthening our community and realising a collective vision for a brighter future.

Council offers community groups the opportunity to request Council support in the form of fee rebates and/or in-kind contributions to a community activity. This initiative reflects our dedication to fostering a vibrant, cohesive, and sustainable community. By extending our support in various forms, we aim to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our region, connecting residents, enabling progress, and enriching lives. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive, and thriving Armidale region that stands as a testament to the potential of collaborative endeavours.

The allocation of council resources is critical to ensuring a financially stable Council and the equitable allocation of Council resources to community events and programs. Armidale Regional Council's Community Strategic Plan serves as the guideline by which requests will be assessed, providing a fair and transparent framework for evaluating the suitability of projects. 

All requests will need to demonstrate a positive and lasting impact on our community.

For each project to be eligible for funding, it must illustrate how it contributes to one or more of the following goals from our Community Strategic Plan:

• A strong economy, sustainable growth, and opportunity
• A destination of choice, renowned for its beauty, heritage, and unique attractions
• Quality infrastructure that makes it safe and easy to travel around our region
• Transport and technology that enable connectivity both locally and outside the region
• A flourishing natural environment that is protected and enhanced
• A clean, green, and responsible region  
• Public spaces and infrastructure that facilitate health, community connections and opportunities
• Proactive, responsible, and innovative regional planning that grows us sustainably
• Access to the services and support that facilitate quality of life
• A proud, inclusive, and cohesive community that celebrates our region in all its diversity and culture
• An informed and actively engaged community, that builds partnerships and shapes its future
• Strong governance and leadership that supports our region to grow and prosper

In addition, all applications will be assessed against the goals of Council's Community Grants and Sponsorship Policy, which includes increasing community participation, facilitating initiatives, and providing effective and quality services in areas such as: -

• Community Arts & Culture,
• Sport, Recreation & Leisure,
• Community and Social Services & Activities, 
• Environmental Awareness, Programs & Initiatives, and
• Economic Stimulus Initiatives.
